Yes, fond memories. Were they made in those faded colours?🤣

Very nice Gethin, things really do seem to be changing when it comes to Christmas yes, I said Christmas! Those classic ornaments probably were not very expensive. Today, I walked into a big box store here in the states and saw artificial trees priced at over $500!!
Crazy!!

You know that Totnes is on my bucket list. I'll probably bring a huge bucket with me to buy some of these "priceless"items which will then end up with the rest of my priceless Christmas up in the attic 😜

Attics are made for Christmas. Just be careful. Our old neighbour fell out of his, putting his Christmas tree away, ambulance, helicopter and hospital, they just saved his life with moments to spare. Christmas should come with a health warning.🤣

It's always interesting to me to see what others see as festive and pretty for Christmas decorations. I prefer simple single color lights and ornaments, a few evergreen boughs and some candles. The less the better, for me. To each his own!

I'm with you John, although these vintage items were quite nostalgic for me and reminded me of my childhood. A time when tree lights had 8 bulbs not 500 programmable ones. A time when no decorations were plastic and mostly involved concertina coloured tissue paper objects that you carefully compressed back down flat for next year.😊
Nice Post. Love the "Retro Decs"
