The above is a headline often associated with Bank Holiday Mondays like today. But not today as there was a storm brewing. But when on holiday you go to the beach, even if you have to wear woolly hats.
The weather has been unseasonably cool for a week or so and today was no different. This stretch of beach would in normal times be quite busy on a holiday, and you wouldn't see woolly hats. So I thought this family scene was quite touching.
The Seabreeze Cafe didn't even open, it's opening hours having the get-out clause, "Weather Dependent".
Tonight the storm hit and it was a breezy loud one but has already started blowing itself out as it moves north. Tomorrow is promising to be a lovely sunny day. Maybe the woolly hats will get a day off.
