Another nice drive by shooting. Quite a collection of the old and the new. How did it feel "riding" up those steep streets...was it like riding a roller coaster?

Very much like a slow roller coaster, the ancient funiculars are even steeper. Similar to San Francisco if you've been on those.

I love the mix of the ancient architecture and the modern electrification, construction and graffiti. I rarely get to see what an older European city actually looks like but rather the "sanitized" version of clean, stunning tourist shots.

Thanks John. I enjoyed the immediacy of taking these and was actually surprised how well they came out myself. Some more considered photos taken on two legs, still to come. I didn't realise but Lisbon has the record for oldest continually inhabited capital city in Europe.
