[193-365] 10th. February 2021- I went to Beesands this morning which is the next village up from Torcross in yesterday's post. Low tide this time because I wanted to get on the beach safely. There are ongoing sea defence works going on there, although nobody working today.
They are adding boulders but also wire mesh and plastic mesh to the land to hold it together.
The waves this morning were just as impressive, just lower down the beach.
This is the destroyed sea gate in pieces and below it a shot taken in December when it was intact.
With the sea gate down this is what happens. The lighter shingle gets washed up on to the road.
Repairs taking place this morning on the other sea gate.
